The Dutch Reds are the central hub, for the Boots for Africa Campaign in The Netherlands.

About Boots for Africa
Providing opportunities for children and communities to have fun. It was on the back streets of a South African township where Sheffield FC Chairman Richard Tims dreamed of doing something to help change the face of football for those living in Africa. Seeing Children playing the game in their bare feet on rubble strewn pavements left Richard asking what can be done to help. It was obvious to him those kicking a ball to each other shared the same passion and love millions of more fortunate fans around the globe have for the sport. This was where the ‘Boots for Africa’ appeal was born.

Your support, however large or small, can make a real difference. Our donated boots will be the first ever pair worn by those children and will offer a generation of young people affected by poverty, poor health and lack of opportunity a new sense of hope, pride and ambition for themselves and for their country.

Rory Slater the project manager for the Boots for Africa campaign said " We are happy that the DutchReds are behind the campaign acting as the central hub in The Netherlands.

The DutchReds said " We are proud to be a part of this campaign,...it is good to show our youngsters the gift of giving and the Boots for Africa campaign helps highlight this life lesson. Of course anyone young or old can help the campaign, by donating football boots, we hope that people of all ages will see how much joy this can bring to the life of a young African child, whose life is totally different to our children's life’s in so many ways".

"The target for the Dutch Reds is to set-up as many collection points in all amateur, semi-pro and professional clubs in Holland. This would help support all the fantastic work that the Boots for Africa campaign has made in England and beyond".
